About
Don't ask me what I am. The answer changes with the brief, and that is exactly the point.
A family PC and an old copy of Photoshop CS3 raised me — without teacher or a plan, I just hit buttons until things happened. At 15 a poster series of mine ran in a press and I read "Georgian Graphic Designer" next to my name. That's how I found out what I'd been all along. Around the same time a little shop paid me to make a logo. That was it — hooked for life.
Time went by, and I refused the label. Designer? Sometimes. Art Director? Often. But mostly the one who figures out the thing nobody else wanted to touch.
Oscar Wilde said it first and he was right: to define is to limit. I took it as a personal instruction. That's why I love Renaissance, it raised monsters... People who'd paint the chapel, engineer the dome, and cut open a corpse before lunch, because every discipline is the same furious obsession in different clothes. I learned 3D, motion, type, print, code, not as party tricks but because a real idea doesn't negotiate what medium it needs. It just needs it. Give a man one hammer and the whole world turns into nails. I refuse to see nails.
Jack of all trades, master of none? Finish the sentence, coward — but oftentimes better than a master of one.
So, don't ask me what I am. the answer changes with the brief, and that's exactly the point.
